June 2011 - Toyota Liva, Kawasaki Ninja 650R

• Honda City prices slashed by 45,000 to 66,000  Rs, mostly due to competition from Verna and Vento diesel models.
• Toyota Liva hatchback model of Toyota Altis launched, priced from 3.99 to 5.99 lakhs. It comes with speedo console at center of dashboard and single wiper like in Altis.

• Diesel prices hiked by 3 Rs after multiple hikes in petrol prices.
• May 2011 car sales were flat compared to last year at 1,58,000 units. Two wheeler sales were 10,72,000 units. 
• Kawasaki launches NINJA 650R
